Obama to Citizens on Health Care: Send In All Fishy Emails

In an effort to push back against criticism of its health care reform plans, the Obama administration is sending one of the many former journalists in its employ onto the digital airwaves of Youtube to attack Matt Drudge and other critics for spreading “disinformation” and “lies.” Since “we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House,” health reform Communications Director Linda Douglass says, “we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about …

    As I said, those figures are wrong. Medicare is much higher when you count all the expenses that other parts of the government take care of. Consider printing forms and materials. An insurance company has to pay that. But with Medicare the Gov’t Printing Office does it. It still costs the same amount of money, but its just shifted somewhere else. It’s Enron accounting.

    Also, private ins overhead is not that high. I don’t know where you’re getting numbers but they are ridiculous.

    @treid gets all information from the Kaiser Family Institute (a nonpartisan health group)

  3. pigeatinginfidel Says:

    Here are the reasons I say those numbers are lies. First, I have seen nowhere cited that PHI overhead is 30%. The most I’ve seen is 20. But guess what? That figure includes state taxes on health insurance! If a state puts a 4% tax on insurance as most do, that raises the overhead for PHI, but its not really overhead.

    When you do an apples-to-apples comparison, Medicare actually comes out worse.

    And no, if Kaiser is putting out such easily debunkable numbers, they are not non-partisan.

    medicare overhead = 4%…

    Private health insurance overhead = 30% ~ (average)…

    …plain and simple.

    And don’t bother wasting your time with a reply.

  6. treid100182 Says:

    @pigeatinginfidel…

    once again…

    medicare overhead = 4%…

    you should be mad that private insurance overhead is approx. 30%…

    I wonder why you are not up in arms over that????????????????????/

    What makes Obama any different from Mahmoud Admadinejad. I also have worked at an election board, Chris Angel has nothing on what they can do. Everyone that voted for Obama, bend over and grab ankles here it comes.

    @pigeatinginfidel…

    It is obvious that you are pro-private insurance…

    …and willfully ignorant…

    …and finally, a douche-bag.

  9. pigeatinginfidel Says:

    Right, ok. You can’t defend your lies. You can’t defend your fake numbers. You can’t even make a credible argument.

    Thanks for showing me how losers lose.

    @treid100182

    Why I am I not up in arms about that? Because it’s not true. I am up in arms over the fact that you keep repeating a lie.
